According to royal insider Rob Shuter, former US President Donald Trump is considering inviting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to join King Charles III’s upcoming state visit. Shuter suggests this move could transform the formal occasion into a high-profile global event.
Writing on his Substack, Shuter notes that as Trump prepares to roll out the red carpet for the British monarch, sources indicate the Sussexes may receive an invitation. “Trump doesn’t just host events — he casts them,” a close source told Shuter. “And this would be his dream lineup. Think about it: a reigning king, his estranged son, the duchess — and a president who knows exactly where every camera is pointed.”
Insiders added, “A king, a rebel prince, and Trump in one room? That’s not a state dinner — that’s a finale.”
The king’s visit is already historic, set to include a state dinner and an address to Congress as part of America’s 250th anniversary celebrations. However, Shuter claims the tone behind the scenes is shifting from ceremonial to cinematic. “There’s real talk of framing this as a ‘peace moment,’” he said. “Trump wants to be seen as the guy who brings everyone together — whether it works or not.”
