At this stage, a Taylor Swift chart victory feels less like a milestone and more like an annual ritual—but this one comes with extra meaning, both professionally and personally.
For the fourth consecutive year, the pop superstar has been named the No. 1 Global Artist by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). With this latest win, Swift now holds the title for the sixth time overall—a feat no other artist has come close to matching.
The IFPI honor reflects what fans and industry insiders have witnessed throughout the year: Swift isn’t just topping charts—she’s operating in a league of her own. Her 2025 domination was fueled by the release of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, along with the accompanying tour documentary, The End of an Era. Whether through streaming, vinyl sales, digital downloads, or physical copies, Swift left no format untouched.
IFPI Chief Executive Victoria Oakley didn’t hold back in praising the achievement.
“Taylor Swift’s sixth IFPI Global Artist of the Year award is a truly historic achievement,” Oakley said. “The IFPI Global Artist Chart showcases incredible talent from around the world, and it also reflects the dedication of the teams and long-term vision behind each project—ensuring fans everywhere can connect with music in meaningful ways.”
Swift’s reign at the top wasn’t without strong competition. Stray Kids climbed to a career-best No. 2, while Bad Bunny secured the No. 5 spot—his sixth straight appearance on the list. Perennial heavyweights like Drake, The Weeknd, and Eminem also maintained their presence, proving once again that Swift’s orbit remains unmatched.
