Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is as adept at making moves off the field as he is on it. The All-Pro player recently seized a public opportunity to catch the attention of actress Sydney Sweeney.
It all started when Sweeney described her ideal partner in an interview with Cosmopolitan. “Athletic and outgoing and funny. I’m a sporty girl, so someone needs to be able to climb a mountain with me, go skydiving with me. And someone who loves their family,” the actress said.
Nacua, spotting the comments circulating on social media, responded with a strategic and succinct retweet. Over Sweeney’s quote, he simply wrote, “Love skydiving.” The playful post quickly sparked speculation about the football star’s intentions.
The 24-year-old receiver is coming off a standout season, despite the Rams’ recent loss in the NFC championship game. A fifth-round draft pick in 2023, Nacua has rapidly become one of the NFL’s top receivers, leading the league in receptions this past season.
Nacua’s personal life has also been in the spotlight. He was previously in a long-term relationship with Hallie Aiono. Following their breakup, paternity testing confirmed Nacua is the father of Aiono’s son, Kingston, a fact established through court proceedings last June.
For her part, Sydney Sweeney called off her engagement to Jonathan Davino in March 2025 and has since been linked to talent manager Scooter Braun.
