Fresh off his show-stopping performance at this month’s Super Bowl halftime show, Bad Bunny is already lining up his next major move—this time on the big screen.
According to PEOPLE, the 31-year-old global superstar is set to star in an upcoming historical drama titled Porto Rico, a film rooted in his native Puerto Rico. He’ll share the screen with an impressive cast that includes Javier Bardem, Edward Norton, and Viggo Mortensen.
The project comes with serious Hollywood pedigree. It is executive produced by five-time Oscar winner Alejandro G. Iñárritu and marks the directorial debut of fellow Puerto Rican artist Residente, also known for his work as a rapper.
This won’t be Bad Bunny’s first time in front of a camera. He made his major Hollywood debut in the 2022 action thriller Bullet Train alongside Brad Pitt, which served as his entry into mainstream English-language cinema. He also appeared in Narcos: Mexico (2021) and the wrestling drama Cassandro (2023).
Beyond film, the “Me Porto Bonito” singer has shown off his comedic and acting chops during multiple turns as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live, most recently kicking off Season 51 in October.
The news arrives just a week after his electrifying 13-minute set at Super Bowl LX on February 8, 2026. The performance drew more than 135.4 million viewers, making it the fourth most-watched halftime show in history.
