Prince William and Princess Kate have reportedly made their feelings known regarding renewed speculation that Prince Harry is hoping for an invitation to Sandringham.
For those unfamiliar, a friend of the Duke of Sussex recently revealed that Harry would like to spend quality time with his father, King Charles, in the UK this coming summer. Should the King invite his son, it would also bring “a package of security” — meaning a long-awaited chance for Archie and Lilibet to reunite with their grandfather.
“If the King was to say, ‘Come up and spend some time with the family,’ he’d love that,” an insider told The Sunday Times. The source also shared that the monarch prefers to keep such family matters private.
However, the future King and Queen — William and Catherine — have now made their own stance clear regarding Harry’s potential summer return. The couple spends summer at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, and insiders claim their grievances toward the Sussexes remain unchanged.
According to The Mirror, a source said: “If the King was to invite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to stay with him, that is a matter for His Majesty alone.” William and Kate, the source added, “would not make arrangements to see them outside of them potentially attending an official public engagement.”
