Apple has officially announced that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will be held online from June 8 to 12, offering a week focused on connection, exploration, and innovation for developers around the globe. In addition to the virtual experience, developers and students will also have the chance to celebrate in person during a special event at Apple Park on June 8.
WWDC26 will highlight major updates across Apple’s platforms, including advancements in artificial intelligence as well as new software and developer tools. True to its ongoing commitment to supporting developers, the conference will provide unique access to Apple engineers and designers, along with insight into fresh tools, frameworks, and features.
The event kicks off on Monday, June 8, with the Keynote and Platforms State of the Union. Throughout the rest of the week, attendees can take part in over 100 video sessions, interactive group labs, and one-on-one appointments, allowing them to connect directly with Apple experts. The conference will be streamed on the Apple Developer app, the Apple Developer website, YouTube, and for viewers in China, on the Apple Developer bilibili channel.
Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, shared her enthusiasm for the event, calling WWDC one of the most exciting times of the year. She noted that it brings the global developer community together for an energizing week celebrating technology, innovation, and collaboration, and expressed excitement to see both online and in-person participation.
The in-person gathering at Apple Park on June 8 will give developers and students the opportunity to view the Keynote and Platforms State of the Union, meet with Apple engineers and designers, participate in special labs and activities, and connect with the wider developer community. Attendance is limited, and details on how to request an invitation can be found on the Apple Developer website.
Apple also continues to support student developers through the Swift Student Challenge, part of its broader effort to nurture the next generation of entrepreneurs, coders, and designers. This year’s winners will be notified on Thursday, March 26, and will be eligible to request attendance at the Apple Park event. Among them, 50 Distinguished Winners will be recognized for outstanding submissions and invited to Cupertino for a three-day experience.
Additional conference information will be shared in the lead-up to WWDC through the Apple Developer app, website, and YouTube channel. Developers can also stay connected via LinkedIn and WeChat, as well as on bilibili for audiences in China.
